Vikingaliv, un museo vikingo en Estocolmo

Vikingaliv es un museo vikingo, inaugurado en abril del 2017 por los reyes de Suecia, donde se puede tener una aproximación a la forma de vida de aquel pueblo, tanto con los objetos de uso habitual de las vitrinas como con los paneles con fotos, mapas y dibujos. La segunda parte de la exposición es un recorrido de 11 minutos por la Saga de Ragnfrid; esta mujer hace que su marido Harald emprenda un viaje hacia la lejana Miklagard (Constantinopla), que será de todo menos aburrido.

El Vikingaliv (Vida de los Vikingos) está en Djurgården, la isla parque que hay al este de la ciudad, a la que se puede acceder por un puente flanqueado por cuatro dioses nórdicos o a través de un ferry. Justamente allí también se pueden ver otras de las buenas atracciones culturales de Estocolmo, como el Museo del barco Vasa, el Museo Nórdico o el parque temático Skansen.

Con una extensión de 2000 m2, cuenta con una sección especial en la que se representa una historia del siglo X, al modo de las sagas vikingas, en la que una mujer, Ragnfrid, tiene que convencer a su esposo Harald de echarse al mar para conseguir riquezas con las que pagar una deuda y mantener así el honor de la familia. Por si fuera poco, una völva, tras una ceremonia seidr, vaticina una cercana época de hambre. Así que Harald tendrá que embarcarse hacia la Ruta del Este, donde se encontrará con todo tipo de personajes con los que compartirá las vicisitudes propias de un viaje hacia la gran Miklagard.
