This Long Sax belongs to my dad, he made it quite a while ago. The blade was forged by a reenacting blacksmith, the carved bone handle with depiction of a jelling dragon was purchased at a local medieval fair. The hilt and pommel are handmade by my dad, i.e. exactly adpated to the handle, the latter consisting of 3 disks, first one of oil-hardened steel, second one of bronze and the third one again of oil-hardened steel. The leather sheath is done by me. Blade length is about 29 cm, total length of the sax is approx. 44 cm. The cast-bronze Odin's mask on the pommel is from the Aarhus picture stone.
